The Malpais International Art Show is an effort to bring together artists from around the world by combining technology and a real world event for a one of a kind, and interactive art show. The show found its roots in the World Artists Contest back in October of 2011, when a few Facebook friends saw the need for a better art group there. The Facebook group has grown and become a collection of some of the very best art online. The group is now managed by World Artists Corporation and regularly produces promotional items such as the 2012 WAC 16-mth Limited Edition calendar, and other items focused on promoting the member artists.
This is the first year for the Malpais International Art Show, which will tentatively be held on May 19th, 2012 in Grants, NM and is an effort to promote both known and unknown artists of ALL mediums and styles from a global perspective. The end result will be a gathering of amazing artists in May of each year. Read more on the About the Show page and don't forget to register by April 15th. Late registrations MAY be taken, but only 250 artists will be accepted into the event so hurry!
